2025 Puanga Talk Series with Whetū Fala

The Puanga 2025 talk series Te Haa o Hine Ahu One introduces a wonderfully diverse group of wahine Māori from our local iwi. Each one a leader and teacher in their own right, they share their experience and insight over a range of subjects that affect our lives.

In the fourth and final talk of the series Alexander Library welcomes Whetū Fala (Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi, Te Ati Haunui-a-Pāpārangi, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Maru ki Taranaki, Samoa, Rotuma) with her talk titled Puanga ki Tua: Reflections on Digital Transformations.

Whetū has a background in theater, film and television. She currently runs her own media company "Fala Media" and has recently released her first feature documentary: Taki Rua Theatre - Breaking Barriers.
